Renovation websites will often tell you what they specialise in and they should also have galleries of recent jobs as well as verified reviews on Google and the like. Don’t be fooled by anonymous companies with stock images on their website. Make sure you are getting a company that specialises in exactly what you want.
A company that offers project management of your renovation is one who can take care of everything for you, meaning that they can organize to supply the cabinets and other bathroom fittings as well as coordinate trades and the renovation timeline. This means that they will be responsible for everything from start to finish. If there is a problem a company providing full project management can deal with any issues to avoid delays or budget blow outs.
Most companies should have their licences easily found on their websites or business cards etc, but few people verify them. Make sure that the licences match the company name and are in fact still valid. It is a legal requirement to have a licensed electrician to carry out work in Australia for example. Insurance is important too, not only for you but for the company. Sometimes things can go wrong and whilst it isn’t a legal requirement, it is certainly peace of mind should there be an accident or unforeseen complication etc.
Each company you ask to quote will be vying for your money to do the project, so choose wisely and make sure you’ve covered off all of the above.
