Make non-structural improvements that cost
less than $20,000.
Modification projects that require structural changes or modification projects that cost more than $20,000.
Improve accessibility in your bathroom and toilet.
Your home’s design shouldn’t be a barrier to life.
Under your NDIS plan, you can modify your bathroom to improve your independence – everything from adding handrails to installing non-slip stepless showers.
As a registered NDIS provider, we’ll work with you and your occupational therapist to plan and deliver a space that’s right for your lifestyle goals.
Our end-to-end service includes a dedicated project manager who handles everything from scheduling to certification – which means less work for you and your OT.
Make it easier to prepare meals and clean dishes.
Most kitchens are designed for aesthetics, not accessibility.
But the two aren’t mutually exclusive.
You can have a cooking space that invites, excites, and still matches your living requirements.
Find out how we can help you modify your existing kitchen with improvements like more base cabinet drawers, wider access routes, and home automation.
Pursue your independent living goals with a fully accessible laundry space.
One of the most common accessibility barriers in laundries is space.
Older homes, in particular, often have narrow corridors unsuitable for wheelchairs – and may have trip or slip hazards like lips and porcelain tiles.
We’re an end-to-end provider, which means we can undertake both minor and complex modifications, like removing load-bearing walls to widen access routes.

Unify the appearance of your kitchen, bathroom and laundry by improving all 3 spaces at the same time.
There are almost 2,000 NDIS home modification providers across Queensland, New South Wales, and the ACT.
But most of them don’t specialise in service areas like kitchens, bathrooms and laundries.
Most of them aren’t end-to-end providers with dedicated PMs for every project.
And most of them don’t have internal compliance expertise that reduces the risk of NCC and local regulation breaches.
We do.
Work with a builder you can genuinely trust.

Our streamlined renovation process ensures clarity and quality at every stage. From an on-site quotation and design consultation to the start of work and final closeout, we guide you through each step.
01
On-Site Quotation
To provide a fixed-price quote for your project, one of our estimators will visit your property to measure your bathroom and discuss the scope of work.
You’ll be emailed your quote shortly after our estimator’s visit.
If you don’t feel ready to book an on-site quotation, you can call us to discuss your project and get a non-fixed estimate.
02
Design Consultation
Once you’ve approved your quote, we’ll coordinate with you and your occupational therapist to schedule a design consultation.
During your meeting, your consultant can walk you through recommended products and show you any applicable samples we have on site.
(While certain finishes and fixtures may not be covered by your NDIS funding, you can pay for the difference yourself under a separate contract with us.)
When Tradepro Installations designs your renovation, you’ll receive your design renders and drawings shortly after your consultation.
03
Works Begin
Following design approval, we’ll provide a start date and estimated completion date for works.
During that time, our team will require unobstructed access to your bathroom.
You and your OT can track the progress of works on the Tradepro Installations dedicated online customer portal and, if there are any delays, your dedicated project manager will contact you as quickly as possible.
04
Closeout and Aftercare
Once your project manager has completed all quality assurance checks, you can review our work and start using your new bathroom.
We’ll contact you after closeout to ask you to complete a very short customer satisfaction survey which we will use to improve services in the future.
Minor home modifications are any non-structural works that cost less than $20,000. They fall into 2 categories:
Category A modifications can be put forward for NDIA approval by any occupational therapist. Category B modifications can only be put forward by a home modification assessor (a specially trained occupational therapist). Once the NDIA has approved the modifications, they’re paid for out of your plan’s minor home modification budget. You don’t need to provide the NDIA with builder quotes for minor modifications.
Complex home modifications are any modifications that are structural or cost more than $20,000. They can only be proposed by a home modification assessor. The NDIA requires quotes from at least 2 builders, after which it will allocate funding on the basis of those quotes. It may also fund an independent building construction practitioner to help you plan the project and procure quotes.
Home modifications are covered by the NDIS when they meet certain criteria. These include:
If you’re not sure whether a specific modification will be covered by your NDIS funding, talk to your NDIA contact – such as your local area coordinator or support coordinator – for help.
There are a few different parties involved in NDIS home modifications:
Your home modification assessor is a specially trained occupational therapist. They’ll assess your home and make recommendations for reasonable, necessary modifications.
The NDIA approves funding for modifications recommended by your home modification assessor. They can either:
Builders (like us) provide itemised quotes and carry out modifications.
They’re funded by the NDIS, although you can personally pay extra for your builder to do things like carry out additional works or install non-necessary modifications (such as luxury tiling or fixtures).
Yes, you can. The NDIS won’t fund improvements that don’t directly relate to your disability, but it may cover part of the total cost. For example, if you needed your bathroom remodelled to replace a step-in shower, your funding might cover the cost of a basic new shower and tiling – but it wouldn’t cover the additional cost of a luxury shower or premium tiling. As the property owner, you’d have to pay the gap yourself.
Combining a renovation with NDIS-funded modifications is more cost-effective, though. Our team are already on-site, we’re familiar with the project, and certain parts of the work – such as demolition – may be covered by your NDIS funding. When we provide you with a fixed quote for the NDIA’s review, we can provide you with a separate quote for out-of-scope improvements. Those works can be completed under a separate building contract.
